The African Programme on Rethinking Development Economics (APORDE) will be holding its 2nd virtual alumni conference on 18 March 2025 with a theme of Industrial Development in Africa.
The aim of the conference is to enable APORDE and Industrial Policy for Policy Makers (IPPM) alumni to share their research, practical insights gained in implementing industrial policy or industrial development programmes, and work outcomes that have made an impact towards economic development. Through this conference we look forward to connecting the APORDE and IPPM alumni and sharing our experiences and ideas to support and strengthen industrial development in Africa.
The conference will take place in a virtual format to accommodate the alumni network from across Africa and the world.
APORDE is an initiative of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) with the support of Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS).
